Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.06%, while the index gained 0.68%, and the index gained 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.76% or 2.22 points to trade at 61.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) added 2.63% or 5.90 points to end at 230.60 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.29% or 0.80 points to 35.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 4.77% or 24.60 points to trade at 490.60 at the close. Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:) declined 1.55% or 2.95 points to end at 187.25 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.30% or 0.21 points to 15.66.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 17.84% to 22.23, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was up 4.48% to settle at 77.00 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which gained 3.94% to close at 134.60.
The worst performers were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 1.55% to 21.01 in late trade, Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.37% to settle at 4.17 and Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.11% to 70.95 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 17.84% to 22.23, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was up 4.48% to settle at 77.00 and Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which gained 4.24% to close at 66.40.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 1.31% to 75.60 in late trade, Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which lost 0.94% to settle at 25.20 and PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was down 0.59% to 13.56 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 312 to 303 and 31 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.65% to 13.37.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.08% or 25.65 to $2,395.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.38% or 0.32 to hit $84.20 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.22% or 0.19 to trade at $87.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 104.63.
