Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.12%, while the index gained 0.53%, and the index gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which rose 5.24% or 26.80 points to trade at 538.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:) added 3.04% or 0.87 points to end at 29.46 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) was up 1.99% or 0.98 points to 50.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which fell 1.46% or 0.39 points to trade at 25.97 at the close. Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) declined 1.27% or 2.02 points to end at 157.18 and Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) was down 0.82% or 0.20 points to 24.19.
The top performers on the MDAX were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which rose 9.83% to 27.48, Lanxess AG (ETR:) which was up 6.31% to settle at 23.07 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which gained 5.45% to close at 85.52.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 6.80% to 5.04 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which lost 2.26% to settle at 138.50 and Puma SE (ETR:) which was down 1.88% to 34.91 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which rose 9.83% to 27.48, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.22% to settle at 5.55 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.31% to close at 41.86.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 1.60% to 22.18 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 1.13% to settle at 18.75 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.51% to 30.17 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 350 to 269 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Puma SE (ETR:) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.88% or 0.67 to 34.91. Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.60% or 0.36 to 22.18.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.95% to 19.60.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.31% or 7.70 to $2,471.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.59% or 0.45 to hit $76.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.35 to trade at $79.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.90.
