Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.13% to hit a new all time high, while the index climbed 0.58%, and the index climbed 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:), which rose 2.71% or 2.04 points to trade at 77.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayer AG NA (ETR:) added 2.64% or 0.52 points to end at 20.02 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:) was up 1.59% or 1.30 points to 83.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which fell 2.19% or 1.16 points to trade at 51.86 at the close. Allianz SE VNA O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.98% or 3.00 points to end at 301.60 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was down 0.97% or 6.40 points to 651.80.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.08% to 39.71, Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was up 2.72% to settle at 35.44 and Lanxess AG (ETR:) which gained 2.62% to close at 25.84.
The worst performers were Hochtief AG (ETR:) which was down 1.37% to 129.40 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 1.15% to settle at 37.72 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 1.02% to 58.10 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which rose 5.45% to 45.45, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.94% to settle at 16.48 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 2.87% to close at 14.35.
The worst performers were Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was down 4.97% to 122.40 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.79% to settle at 8.77 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.33% to 23.76 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 356 to 250 and 49 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.44% to 13.61 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.40% or 10.66 to $2,659.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.22% or 0.83 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.05% or 0.76 to trade at $71.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 106.01.
