Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.38%, while the index climbed 0.65%, and the index added 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:), which rose 2.29% or 5.30 points to trade at 236.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) added 1.90% or 10.40 points to end at 558.00 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was up 1.83% or 3.90 points to 217.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which fell 5.70% or 1.84 points to trade at 30.45 at the close. E.ON SE (ETR:) declined 2.91% or 0.36 points to end at 12.02 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was down 2.05% or 0.47 points to 22.41.
The top performers on the MDAX were Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 6.50% to 71.25, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 6.36% to settle at 18.06 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 2.70% to close at 21.65.
The worst performers were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 6.34% to 3.09 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which lost 1.77% to settle at 6.33 and Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 1.60% to 135.20 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which rose 6.36% to 18.06, 11 AG (ETR:) which was up 3.83% to settle at 13.02 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.24% to close at 89.05.
The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 4.66% to 73.70 in late trade, Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which lost 2.95% to settle at 28.26 and PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which was down 1.39% to 14.18 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 334 to 275 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) fell to all time lows; down 6.34% or 0.21 to 3.09.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.89% to 17.98.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.99% or 24.80 to $2,483.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.91% or 0.71 to hit $77.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.38% or 0.31 to trade at $80.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.31.
