Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.39%, while the index gained 0.60%, and the index gained 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the were Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:), which rose 3.07% or 2.06 points to trade at 69.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) added 2.79% or 3.55 points to end at 130.60 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 2.30% or 11.30 points to 503.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.99% or 3.45 points to trade at 112.10 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.40% or 0.39 points to end at 15.79 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 2.02% or 3.20 points to 155.50.
The top performers on the MDAX were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which rose 4.86% to 149.00, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 4.58% to settle at 8.91 and SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co KgaA (ETR:) which gained 4.10% to close at 31.96.
The worst performers were Bilfinger SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 10.99% to 44.15 in late trade, Hypoport AG (ETR:) which lost 4.78% to settle at 259.00 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 2.08% to 61.25 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which rose 3.28% to 15.42, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was up 3.16% to settle at 31.96 and Siltronic AG (ETR:) which gained 1.96% to close at 59.95.
The worst performers were Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was down 2.60% to 127.40 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which lost 2.08% to settle at 61.25 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 2.00% to 93.20 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 312 to 290 and 32 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.62% to 17.52.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.49% or 13.45 to $2,742.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.99% or 0.70 to hit $70.07 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.87% or 0.65 to trade at $74.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 104.07.
