Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.45%, while the index climbed 0.73%, and the index added 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 1.94% or 0.47 points to trade at 24.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) added 1.67% or 3.80 points to end at 231.20 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.47% or 3.80 points to 262.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.70% or 4.10 points to trade at 237.00 at the close. Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.93% or 0.12 points to end at 12.31 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.68% or 0.85 points to 123.70.
The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 19.30% to 6.44, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 10.20% to settle at 5.94 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.34% to close at 13.71.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 1.85% to 18.00 in late trade, Befesa SA (ETR:) which lost 1.73% to settle at 26.08 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 1.48% to 28.00 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 10.20% to 5.94, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.34% to settle at 13.71 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which gained 1.84% to close at 77.30.
The worst performers were Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 4.08% to 29.12 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which lost 1.85% to settle at 18.00 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.70% to 237.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 359 to 250 and 24 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.89% to 17.98.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 4.70 to $2,508.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.14% or 1.71 to hit $78.35 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.96% or 1.61 to trade at $80.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 102.68.
