Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.48%, while the index gained 0.48%, and the index gained 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 5.90% or 1.50 points to trade at 26.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR:) added 4.84% or 6.46 points to end at 140.02 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was up 4.04% or 1.29 points to 33.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:), which fell 6.71% or 3.57 points to trade at 49.63 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:) declined 2.24% or 5.30 points to end at 231.30 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was down 1.45% or 0.35 points to 23.71.
The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which rose 13.15% to 12.48, Traton SE (ETR:) which was up 3.18% to settle at 29.20 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.55% to close at 88.35.
The worst performers were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was down 6.58% to 36.62 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which lost 4.61% to settle at 138.60 and Krones AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.34% to 125.20 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which rose 13.15% to 12.48, Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.71% to settle at 62.90 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.96% to close at 262.70.
The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was down 6.71% to 49.63 in late trade, 11 AG (ETR:) which lost 1.72% to settle at 14.88 and Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was down 1.51% to 65.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 344 to 258 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.04% or 1.29 to 33.19.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.69% to 15.29.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.67% or 16.50 to $2,468.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.56% or 2.66 to hit $77.39 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 3.09% or 2.41 to trade at $80.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 103.95.
