Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.66%, while the index added 0.32%, and the index climbed 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:), which rose 4.45% or 1.70 points to trade at 39.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) added 3.99% or 8.90 points to end at 232.20 and Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 3.25% or 4.00 points to 127.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which fell 1.50% or 0.82 points to trade at 53.70 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:) declined 1.30% or 0.42 points to end at 31.80 and E.ON SE (ETR:) was down 1.19% or 0.14 points to 11.24.
The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which rose 9.59% to 34.96, AUTO1 Group SE (ETR:) which was up 6.10% to settle at 15.83 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 5.95% to close at 29.56.
The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 4.11% to 2.63 in late trade, Hypoport AG (ETR:) which lost 3.32% to settle at 174.80 and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:) which was down 3.25% to 86.20 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 10.60% to 50.10, Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was up 4.77% to settle at 15.81 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.99% to close at 232.20.
The worst performers were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which was down 13.87% to 45.65 in late trade, Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which lost 2.54% to settle at 115.00 and Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 1.67% to 45.92 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 313 to 300 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 10.60% or 4.80 to 50.10.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.60% to 14.94.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.74% or 19.64 to $2,667.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.86% or 0.63 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.87% or 0.66 to trade at $76.96 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 108.28.
