Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.67% to hit a new all time high, while the index added 1.24%, and the index climbed 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 2.95% or 1.52 points to trade at 53.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) added 2.85% or 1.80 points to end at 64.88 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 2.68% or 0.40 points to 15.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.08% or 4.50 points to trade at 212.10 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 1.26% or 0.40 points to end at 31.34 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 0.74% or 1.05 points to 139.95.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aurubis AG (ETR:) which rose 11.05% to 84.40, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 10.93% to settle at 13.09 and Tui AG NA (ETR:) which gained 5.31% to close at 8.33.
The worst performers were SCHOTT Pharma AG & Co KgaA (ETR:) which was down 5.36% to 26.46 in late trade, Stroeer SE (ETR:) which lost 3.29% to settle at 49.32 and Hypoport AG (ETR:) which was down 3.07% to 189.30 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.30% to 16.01, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 4.18% to settle at 13.95 and 11 AG (ETR:) which gained 2.89% to close at 12.12.
The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.08% to 212.10 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which lost 2.05% to settle at 88.40 and Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.46% to 101.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 362 to 248 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.95% or 1.52 to 53.02. Shares in Aurubis AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 11.05% or 8.40 to 84.40. Shares in Tui AG NA (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.31% or 0.42 to 8.33.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.97% to 13.81 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.67% or 17.81 to $2,658.39 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $68.44 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.08% or 0.06 to trade at $72.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.59% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 105.83.
