Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.72%, while the index climbed 0.57%, and the index climbed 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 5.05% or 11.70 points to trade at 243.40 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) added 2.97% or 0.98 points to end at 34.03 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was up 2.96% or 0.84 points to 29.19 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (ETR:), which fell 1.05% or 1.40 points to trade at 131.96 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.74% or 0.11 points to end at 15.32 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 0.61% or 1.50 points to 245.20.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which rose 4.16% to 2.23, Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was up 4.10% to settle at 39.83 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which gained 3.77% to close at 83.62.
The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 5.51% to 133.70 in late trade, Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which lost 2.33% to settle at 5.79 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.79% to 9.33 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.52% to 68.80, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.05% to settle at 243.40 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 4.35% to close at 28.28.
The worst performers were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.79% to 9.33 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 1.62% to settle at 36.36 and Bechtle AG (ETR:) which was down 0.43% to 41.74 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 388 to 214 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 5.52% or 3.60 to 68.80.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.95% to 13.30.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.88% or 44.65 to $2,424.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.49% or 0.40 to hit $82.50 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.30 to trade at $85.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.36% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 104.11.
