The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.02% or 0.41 points to trade at 39.81 at the close. Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) declined 0.42% or 0.21 points to end at 49.79 and Merck KGaA (ETR:) was down 0.21% or 0.35 points to 168.20.
The top performers on the MDAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.49% to 2.98, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 4.75% to settle at 8.03 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.63% to close at 36.17.
The worst performers were Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which was down 2.52% to 100.40 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 1.16% to settle at 68.00 and Encavis AG (ETR:) which was down 0.47% to 17.06 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which rose 5.19% to 11.76, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.31% to settle at 6.30 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.21% to close at 14.84.
The worst performers were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 1.16% to 68.00 in late trade, Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which lost 0.45% to settle at 66.60 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was down 0.42% to 49.79 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 446 to 157 and 27 ended unchanged.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 101.04.
