Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the rose 0.95%, while the index gained 0.93%, and the index climbed 1.19%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 4.58% or 9.60 points to trade at 219.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 3.14% or 0.76 points to end at 24.97 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was up 2.88% or 6.20 points to 221.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:), which fell 1.13% or 0.94 points to trade at 82.36 at the close. Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.56% or 0.16 points to end at 28.35 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was down 0.18% or 0.16 points to 88.38.
The top performers on the MDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 13.91% to 8.35, Aurubis AG (ETR:) which was up 5.49% to settle at 76.80 and CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which gained 2.79% to close at 81.10.
The worst performers were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was down 3.66% to 5.78 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which lost 1.37% to settle at 5.03 and Stabilus (ETR:) which was down 0.78% to 44.70 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 13.91% to 8.35, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.58% to settle at 219.00 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.34% to close at 31.60.
The worst performers were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was unchanged 0.00% to 22.89 in late trade, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which unchanged 0.00% to settle at 20.10 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) which was up 0.06% to 38.83 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 434 to 171 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.66% or 0.22 to 5.78. Shares in HelloFresh SE (ETR:) fell to all time lows; down 1.37% or 0.07 to 5.03. Shares in Stabilus (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.78% or 0.35 to 44.70.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.11% to 16.81.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.86% or 20.10 to $2,367.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.24% or 0.19 to hit $80.90 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.29 to trade at $85.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 105.26.
