Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 1.17% to hit a new all time high, while the index gained 1.26%, and the index climbed 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:), which rose 3.06% or 1.54 points to trade at 51.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:) added 3.02% or 3.80 points to end at 129.55 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was up 2.92% or 5.69 points to 200.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Merck KGaA (ETR:), which fell 1.40% or 2.00 points to trade at 141.35 at the close. Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.85% or 2.00 points to end at 232.00 and Adidas AG (ETR:) was down 0.29% or 0.70 points to 241.70.
The top performers on the MDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which rose 4.42% to 48.24, Traton SE (ETR:) which was up 3.93% to settle at 27.80 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.70% to close at 4.18.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was down 0.61% to 10.54 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which lost 0.42% to settle at 119.30 and Puma SE (ETR:) which was down 0.32% to 40.48 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which rose 20.39% to 49.30, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 4.42% to settle at 48.24 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.30% to close at 7.99.
The worst performers were Formycon AG (ETR:) which was down 2.27% to 56.00 in late trade, IONOS Group SE (ETR:) which lost 2.18% to settle at 22.40 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 0.85% to 232.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 455 to 148 and 30 ended unchanged.
Shares in Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.02% or 3.80 to 129.55. Shares in Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.92% or 5.69 to 200.85.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.97% to 14.12.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.19% or 5.16 to $2,756.06 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.13% or 0.10 to hit $77.75 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.05 to trade at $81.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.40% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 109.14.
