Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 1.26% to hit a new all time high, while the index climbed 1.57%, and the index gained 2.31%.
The best performers of the session on the were Brenntag AG (ETR:), which rose 6.94% or 4.40 points to trade at 67.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) added 6.72% or 2.06 points to end at 32.69 and BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 6.59% or 2.98 points to 48.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:), which fell 1.64% or 1.65 points to trade at 98.90 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 1.35% or 0.45 points to end at 32.90 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.23% or 3.50 points to 281.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which rose 8.47% to 88.62, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 7.51% to settle at 70.85 and Kion Group AG (ETR:) which gained 5.66% to close at 36.94.
The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 3.14% to 18.53 in late trade, GEA Group AG (ETR:) which lost 1.12% to settle at 44.30 and Aurubis AG (ETR:) which was down 1.06% to 65.30 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which rose 10.80% to 88.25, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 7.51% to settle at 70.85 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 6.72% to close at 32.69.
The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 3.14% to 18.53 in late trade, SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which lost 1.63% to settle at 66.50 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 0.71% to 15.99 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 231 and 34 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.50% to 15.17.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.88% or 23.75 to $2,671.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.74% or 0.50 to hit $68.17 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.58% or 0.41 to trade at $71.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 100.18.
