Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.54% to hit a new all time high, while the index climbed 1.82%, and the index gained 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the were Heidelberg Materials AG (ETR:), which rose 4.41% or 4.22 points to trade at 100.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayer AG NA (ETR:) added 3.74% or 1.05 points to end at 28.97 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:) was up 3.70% or 4.76 points to 133.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.84% or 1.24 points to trade at 31.04 at the close. E.ON SE (ETR:) declined 2.62% or 0.35 points to end at 13.18 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was down 2.42% or 0.79 points to 31.92.
The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:) which rose 6.23% to 34.78, Stabilus (ETR:) which was up 4.97% to settle at 39.10 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.56% to close at 38.30.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 2.81% to 8.59 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.78% to settle at 6.34 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) which was down 0.83% to 37.11 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.49% to 43.84, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was up 5.46% to settle at 80.15 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which gained 4.89% to close at 68.70.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 6.35% to 17.85 in late trade, SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which lost 3.25% to settle at 56.50 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.78% to 6.34 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 434 to 187 and 20 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.07% to 15.41.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.64% or 16.70 to $2,615.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.25% or 1.57 to hit $71.45 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.98% or 1.46 to trade at $75.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.42.
