Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.14%, while the index declined 0.40%, and the index fell 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.04% or 0.34 points to trade at 16.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) added 1.31% or 0.92 points to end at 71.04 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.20% or 0.19 points to 15.97 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Munich Reinsurance (ETR:), which fell 2.69% or 12.90 points to trade at 467.00 at the close. Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) declined 2.65% or 13.80 points to end at 506.20 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:) was down 2.63% or 6.60 points to 244.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which rose 4.46% to 28.56, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 4.45% to settle at 9.72 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.58% to close at 41.35.
The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 4.19% to 2.88 in late trade, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which lost 2.79% to settle at 91.38 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.63% to 3.33 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which rose 4.46% to 28.56, Atoss Software AG (ETR:) which was up 4.15% to settle at 130.40 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 3.04% to close at 17.97.
The worst performers were Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.15% to 40.52 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 2.18% to settle at 29.58 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 1.98% to 15.35 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 316 to 313 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.04% or 0.34 to 16.79.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.83% to 18.56.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 3.15 to $2,664.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.36% or 2.50 to hit $76.88 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.19% or 2.49 to trade at $80.54 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.22.
