Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.25%, while the index fell 0.89%, and the index fell 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (ETR:), which rose 3.84% or 8.20 points to trade at 222.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) added 0.90% or 0.35 points to end at 39.07 and SAP SE (ETR:) was up 0.58% or 1.30 points to 224.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 3.20% or 2.94 points to trade at 88.92 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 3.20% or 1.27 points to end at 38.44 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.22% or 1.30 points to 57.24.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 2.90% to 14.91, Traton SE (ETR:) which was up 1.50% to settle at 30.55 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 1.19% to close at 41.60.
The worst performers were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:) which was down 5.18% to 6.51 in late trade, Hypoport AG (ETR:) which lost 4.56% to settle at 238.40 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.28% to 13.56 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which rose 2.90% to 14.91, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.41% to settle at 7.23 and SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which gained 1.34% to close at 60.60.
The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.28% to 13.56 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which lost 3.01% to settle at 16.41 and 11 AG (ETR:) which was down 2.52% to 13.16 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 406 to 208 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in SAP SE (ETR:) rose to all time highs; up 0.58% or 1.30 to 224.00. Shares in Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.19% or 0.49 to 41.60.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.88% to 17.23.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.03% or 28.35 to $2,784.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.31% or 0.21 to hit $67.17 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.44% or 0.31 to trade at $70.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.20.
