Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.58%, while the index declined 0.73%, and the index fell 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.60% or 0.77 points to trade at 30.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) added 2.24% or 1.14 points to end at 51.98 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 1.92% or 11.60 points to 615.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 2.51% or 1.07 points to trade at 41.53 at the close. Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) declined 2.15% or 1.68 points to end at 76.42 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was down 2.05% or 0.40 points to 18.99.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which rose 2.96% to 27.80, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 2.52% to settle at 8.54 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 1.28% to close at 11.90.
The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 4.34% to 125.60 in late trade, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.56% to settle at 42.58 and Tui AG NA (ETR:) which was down 3.13% to 8.11 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 2.52% to 8.54, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 1.28% to settle at 11.90 and Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which gained 1.19% to close at 68.30.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:) which was down 2.48% to 9.45 in late trade, Bechtle AG (ETR:) which lost 2.30% to settle at 30.62 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.01% to 14.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 400 to 215 and 33 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.21% to 15.61.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.53% or 14.04 to $2,654.96 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.26% or 0.92 to hit $74.05 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.76% or 0.58 to trade at $76.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 108.80.
