Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 1.20%, while the index fell 1.61%, and the index lost 1.86%.
The best performers of the session on the were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which rose 1.14% or 7.00 points to trade at 620.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Covestro AG (ETR:) added 0.49% or 0.28 points to end at 57.00 and RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) was up 0.25% or 0.07 points to 28.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 5.39% or 1.82 points to trade at 31.88 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 2.96% or 0.88 points to end at 28.80 and Siemens AG Class N (ETR:) was down 2.71% or 5.28 points to 189.44.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.77% to 43.42, Fraport AG (ETR:) which was up 4.26% to settle at 55.05 and CTS Eventim AG (ETR:) which gained 1.54% to close at 82.60.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 7.93% to 14.10 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 6.60% to settle at 46.44 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 5.84% to 2.79 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 1.49% to 34.06, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was up 0.25% to settle at 81.40 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 0.18% to close at 11.38.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 7.93% to 14.10 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 6.60% to settle at 46.44 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was down 5.39% to 31.88 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 514 to 123 and 31 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.40% to 13.50.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.69% or 44.71 to $2,608.59 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.69% or 1.19 to hit $69.39 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.83% or 0.61 to trade at $72.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.47% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 108.11.
