Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.12% to hit a new all time high, while the index gained 0.59%, and the index lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 2.92% or 0.95 points to trade at 33.50 at the close. Meanwhile, BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) added 2.83% or 1.29 points to end at 47.00 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:) was up 2.70% or 1.62 points to 61.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 6.52% or 22.80 points to trade at 327.10 at the close. Vonovia SE (ETR:) declined 2.22% or 0.63 points to end at 27.72 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) was down 2.17% or 0.65 points to 29.35.
The top performers on the MDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which rose 6.03% to 56.30, Hypoport AG (ETR:) which was up 4.50% to settle at 213.60 and Kion Group AG (ETR:) which gained 3.93% to close at 35.97.
The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 3.16% to 12.89 in late trade, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which lost 2.99% to settle at 2.69 and LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 2.54% to 73.64 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which rose 6.03% to 56.30, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 5.96% to settle at 53.30 and SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which gained 4.51% to close at 49.80.
The worst performers were IONOS Group SE (ETR:) which was down 2.24% to 24.05 in late trade, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which lost 2.17% to settle at 29.35 and Qiagen NV (ETR:) which was down 1.83% to 43.74 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 316 to 296 and 33 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.96% or 3.00 to 53.30.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.56% to 14.52.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.54% or 14.89 to $2,779.89 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.47% or 0.35 to hit $74.27 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.10 to trade at $78.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.99% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 107.05.
