Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.40%, while the index added 0.30%, and the index added 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 2.88% or 0.43 points to trade at 15.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:) added 2.56% or 0.95 points to end at 38.13 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.93% or 1.12 points to 59.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens AG Class N (ETR:), which fell 4.42% or 7.88 points to trade at 170.52 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 2.32% or 0.59 points to end at 24.85 and SAP SE (ETR:) was down 1.46% or 2.68 points to 180.58.
The top performers on the MDAX were Traton SE (ETR:) which rose 4.79% to 31.70, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which was up 3.20% to settle at 34.78 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 2.77% to close at 780.00.
The worst performers were Tui AG NA (ETR:) which was down 5.57% to 6.75 in late trade, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which lost 2.69% to settle at 6.15 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.21% to 21.20 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.20% to 34.78, Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:) which was up 1.56% to settle at 54.58 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which gained 1.49% to close at 25.82.
The worst performers were Elmos Semiconductor AG (ETR:) which was down 5.51% to 77.10 in late trade, Suess Microtec NA O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.41% to settle at 56.40 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which was down 2.21% to 21.20 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 328 to 278 and 31 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 5.42% to 13.86.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.03% or 0.70 to $2,460.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $81.57 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.16 to trade at $85.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 103.74.
