Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.47%, while the index lost 0.68%, and the index gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the were Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR:), which rose 3.73% or 1.98 points to trade at 55.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:) added 1.17% or 0.51 points to end at 44.08 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was up 1.14% or 0.86 points to 76.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 5.39% or 1.63 points to trade at 28.63 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 4.62% or 2.40 points to end at 49.50 and E.ON SE (ETR:) was down 4.52% or 0.50 points to 10.56.
The top performers on the MDAX were Stroeer SE (ETR:) which rose 19.78% to 55.10, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 3.30% to settle at 46.96 and Siltronic AG (ETR:) which gained 2.07% to close at 45.40.
The worst performers were Traton SE (ETR:) which was down 9.26% to 26.45 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which lost 6.29% to settle at 63.42 and HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 6.22% to 11.92 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which rose 3.30% to 46.96, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was up 2.07% to settle at 45.40 and Bechtle AG (ETR:) which gained 1.82% to close at 30.14.
The worst performers were IONOS Group SE (ETR:) which was down 2.03% to 21.75 in late trade, 11 AG (ETR:) which lost 2.01% to settle at 11.68 and SUSS MicroTec SE (ETR:) which was down 1.87% to 42.00 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 406 to 207 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in E.ON SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.52% or 0.50 to 10.56. Shares in Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 6.29% or 4.26 to 63.42.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.31% to 15.44.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.15% or 30.96 to $2,721.76 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 3.23% or 2.39 to hit $76.31 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 3.21% or 2.47 to trade at $79.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.58% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 109.52.
