Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the rose 1.94%.
The best performers of the session on the were J. & P. Avax (AT:), which rose 5.54% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:) added 5.37% or 0.14 points to end at 2.65 and Aegean Airlines (AT:) was up 5.32% or 0.55 points to 10.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:), which fell 1.08% or 0.34 points to trade at 31.20 at the close. Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:) declined 0.68% or 0.10 points to end at 14.70 and Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:) was down 0.48% or 0.10 points to 20.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 103 to 21 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.29% or 7.10 to $2,438.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.70% or 1.98 to hit $75.18 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.46% or 1.88 to trade at $78.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 102.94.
