Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Strauss Group (TASE:), which rose 5.26% or 348.00 points to trade at 6,959.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Energix (TASE:) added 3.46% or 39.00 points to end at 1,166.00 and Electra Ltd (TASE:) was up 3.30% or 5,940.00 points to 185,940.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Camtek Ltd (TASE:), which fell 3.80% or 1,040.00 points to trade at 26,320.00 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:) declined 2.71% or 171.00 points to end at 6,135.00 and Nova (TASE:) was down 2.02% or 1,330.00 points to 64,660.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 274 to 199 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Electra Ltd (TASE:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.30% or 5,940.00 to 185,940.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.91% or 2.07 to $69.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.76% or 2.06 to hit $72.57 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 3.03% or 82.90 to trade at $2,654.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 1.63% to 3.64, while EUR/ILS fell 0.96% to 3.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 106.92.
