Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the gained 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the were Eni SpA (BIT:), which rose 3.34% or 0.47 points to trade at 14.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) added 3.14% or 2.65 points to end at 87.05 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:) was up 3.05% or 0.65 points to 21.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (BIT:), which fell 4.17% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.23 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:) declined 3.87% or 1.24 points to end at 30.70 and Stellantis NV (BIT:) was down 3.05% or 0.51 points to 16.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 288 to 199 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.87% or 1.24 to 30.70. Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.05% or 0.51 to 16.17.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.42% or 1.11 to $77.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.55% or 1.28 to hit $81.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.33% or 31.25 to trade at $2,384.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 104.06.
