Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the rose 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the were Nexi SpA (BIT:), which rose 5.50% or 0.31 points to trade at 5.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:) added 2.36% or 0.13 points to end at 5.81 and Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:) was up 1.70% or 0.46 points to 27.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT:), which fell 6.30% or 0.79 points to trade at 11.75 at the close. Italgas SpA (BIT:) declined 2.11% or 0.12 points to end at 5.55 and ERG (BIT:) was down 1.92% or 0.40 points to 20.38.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 289 to 263 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stellantis NV (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.30% or 0.79 to 11.75.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.68% or 18.21 to trade at $2,662.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.87% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 106.49.
