Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the gained 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the were DiaSorin SpA (BIT:), which rose 2.63% or 2.70 points to trade at 105.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (BIT:) added 2.63% or 1.35 points to end at 52.75 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:) was up 2.20% or 0.49 points to 22.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris SA (BIT:), which fell 1.65% or 0.21 points to trade at 12.49 at the close. Saipem SpA (BIT:) declined 1.08% or 0.02 points to end at 2.02 and STMicroelectronics (BIT:) was down 0.89% or 0.25 points to 27.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 250 to 217 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.63% or 2.70 to 105.30. Shares in Tenaris SA (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.65% or 0.21 to 12.49.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.03% or 0.78 to $74.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.06% or 0.83 to hit $77.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 12.65 to trade at $2,540.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 100.95.
