Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the rose 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Moncler SpA (BIT:), which rose 4.96% or 2.37 points to trade at 50.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (BIT:) added 3.19% or 0.40 points to end at 12.95 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:) was up 2.69% or 0.16 points to 6.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris SA (BIT:), which fell 2.96% or 0.55 points to trade at 18.05 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) declined 2.84% or 0.17 points to end at 5.89 and Saipem SpA (BIT:) was down 2.05% or 0.05 points to 2.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 296 to 227 and 57 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.20% or 0.82 to $67.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.01% or 0.73 to hit $71.36 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 11.64 to trade at $2,660.04 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 106.00.
