Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the added 0.39% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:), which rose 8.04% or 7.90 points to trade at 106.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) added 4.90% or 0.29 points to end at 6.12 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (BIT:) was up 1.80% or 0.21 points to 11.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prysmian SpA (BIT:), which fell 2.52% or 1.60 points to trade at 61.80 at the close. Snam SpA (BIT:) declined 1.17% or 0.05 points to end at 4.32 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) was down 1.12% or 1.15 points to 101.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 264 to 256 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 4.90% or 0.29 to 6.12.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.31% or 0.22 to $70.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.24% or 0.18 to hit $73.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.82% or 50.09 to trade at $2,706.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.16% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 106.28.
