Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the added 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:), which rose 3.80% or 3.35 points to trade at 91.40 at the close. Meanwhile, DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) added 3.22% or 3.35 points to end at 107.45 and Recordati (BIT:) was up 2.86% or 1.45 points to 52.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (BIT:), which fell 1.87% or 0.73 points to trade at 38.09 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) declined 1.52% or 0.09 points to end at 5.84 and Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:) was down 1.28% or 0.09 points to 6.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 313 to 204 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.24% or 0.87 to $70.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.01% or 0.75 to hit $74.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.21% or 32.35 to trade at $2,707.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 107.60.
