Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the gained 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:), which rose 9.54% or 0.67 points to trade at 7.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) added 4.53% or 3.80 points to end at 87.75 and Prysmian SpA (BIT:) was up 3.96% or 2.50 points to 65.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inwit (BIT:), which fell 2.17% or 0.24 points to trade at 10.83 at the close. Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:) declined 1.98% or 0.16 points to end at 7.91 and Hera (BIT:) was down 1.96% or 0.07 points to 3.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 345 to 149 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Prysmian SpA (BIT:) rose to all time highs; up 3.96% or 2.50 to 65.68.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.20% or 1.54 to $71.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 1.43 to hit $75.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 16.45 to trade at $2,615.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 100.43.
