Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the gained 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the were Leonardo SpA (BIT:), which rose 3.24% or 0.66 points to trade at 21.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (BIT:) added 2.95% or 1.55 points to end at 54.10 and A2A SpA (BIT:) was up 2.74% or 0.06 points to 2.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amplifon (BIT:), which fell 0.84% or 0.23 points to trade at 27.18 at the close. Bper Banca SpA (BIT:) declined 0.58% or 0.03 points to end at 5.83 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) was down 0.58% or 0.60 points to 103.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 303 to 204 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Recordati (BIT:) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.95% or 1.55 to 54.10. Shares in A2A SpA (BIT:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.74% or 0.06 to 2.14.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.29% or 1.73 to $73.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.14% or 1.69 to hit $77.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 13.10 to trade at $2,663.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 103.04.
