Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the rose 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the were Recordati (BIT:), which rose 2.93% or 1.40 points to trade at 49.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) added 2.50% or 2.25 points to end at 92.40 and A2A SpA (BIT:) was up 2.50% or 0.05 points to 1.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:), which fell 0.09% or 0.01 points to trade at 10.68 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:) added 0.50% or 0.09 points to end at 19.07 and DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) was up 0.54% or 0.52 points to 97.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 338 to 179 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.27% or 0.22 to $80.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.36% or 0.31 to hit $85.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 19.95 to trade at $2,366.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 105.26.
