Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the declined 0.24% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the were Nexi SpA (BIT:), which rose 2.16% or 0.12 points to trade at 5.48 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (BIT:) unchanged 2.10% or 0.00 points to end at 0.23 and Recordati (BIT:) was up 1.10% or 0.55 points to 50.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:), which fell 2.05% or 0.19 points to trade at 9.07 at the close. Amplifon (BIT:) declined 1.57% or 0.37 points to end at 23.23 and Stellantis NV (BIT:) was down 1.45% or 0.18 points to 12.21.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 262 to 244 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amplifon (BIT:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.57% or 0.37 to 23.23.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.07% or 0.05 to $69.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $73.29 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.97% or 25.50 to trade at $2,656.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.71% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 106.77.
