Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Leonardo SpA (BIT:), which rose 3.63% or 0.74 points to trade at 21.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Amplifon (BIT:) added 1.98% or 0.51 points to end at 26.33 and Saipem SpA (BIT:) was up 1.65% or 0.03 points to 2.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:), which fell 2.67% or 0.24 points to trade at 8.75 at the close. Pirelli & C SPA (BIT:) declined 2.43% or 0.13 points to end at 5.21 and Recordati (BIT:) was down 2.27% or 1.16 points to 49.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 276 to 214 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.33% or 0.23 to $70.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $73.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 17.65 to trade at $2,672.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 101.25.
