Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the were Telecom Italia (BIT:), which rose 3.00% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Bpm SpA (BIT:) added 2.93% or 0.18 points to end at 6.19 and Saipem SpA (BIT:) was up 2.79% or 0.05 points to 2.01 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:), which fell 7.48% or 0.56 points to trade at 6.98 at the close. Poste Italiane SpA (BIT:) declined 3.00% or 0.38 points to end at 12.29 and Amplifon (BIT:) was down 2.59% or 0.71 points to 26.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 247 to 193 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 7.48% or 0.56 to 6.98.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.66% or 0.46 to $69.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.66% or 0.49 to hit $73.21 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 4.20 to trade at $2,596.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 100.58.
