Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the declined 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bper Banca SpA (BIT:), which rose 1.33% or 0.08 points to trade at 5.77 at the close. Meanwhile, DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) added 0.89% or 0.89 points to end at 100.55 and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:) was up 0.87% or 0.04 points to 4.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iveco Group NV (BIT:), which fell 3.20% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.39 at the close. STMicroelectronics (BIT:) declined 3.06% or 0.76 points to end at 24.10 and Amplifon (BIT:) was down 2.74% or 0.71 points to 25.17.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 330 to 183 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in STMicroelectronics (BIT:) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.06% or 0.76 to 24.10. Shares in Intesa Sanpaolo SpA (BIT:) rose to 5-year highs; rising 0.87% or 0.04 to 4.07. Shares in Amplifon (BIT:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.74% or 0.71 to 25.17.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.46% or 1.71 to $71.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.26% or 1.65 to hit $74.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 6.05 to trade at $2,743.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.78.
