Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the fell 0.70%.
The best performers of the session on the were Saipem SpA (BIT:), which rose 1.33% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Eni SpA (BIT:) added 1.09% or 0.15 points to end at 14.26 and Azimut Holding SpA (BIT:) was up 1.01% or 0.24 points to 24.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT:), which fell 2.73% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.27 at the close. Stellantis NV (BIT:) declined 2.12% or 0.26 points to end at 11.93 and Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT:) was down 2.08% or 0.15 points to 7.07.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 327 to 194 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.85% or 1.27 to $69.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.52% or 1.11 to hit $74.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 6.30 to trade at $2,736.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 103.74.
