Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:), which rose 3.91% or 3.65 points to trade at 97.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem SpA (BIT:) added 3.19% or 0.07 points to end at 2.36 and Amplifon (BIT:) was up 1.57% or 0.52 points to 33.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (BIT:), which fell 4.13% or 0.80 points to trade at 18.54 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:) declined 3.66% or 0.34 points to end at 8.96 and Recordati (BIT:) was down 2.54% or 1.26 points to 48.36.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 259 to 209 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.54% or 0.44 to $81.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.45% or 0.38 to hit $84.85 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.12% or 25.85 to trade at $2,339.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 105.53.
