Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the declined 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the were Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:), which rose 2.84% or 2.50 points to trade at 90.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale SpA (BIT:) added 0.82% or 0.06 points to end at 7.90 and Snam SpA (BIT:) was up 0.40% or 0.02 points to 4.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem SpA (BIT:), which fell 7.07% or 0.14 points to trade at 1.88 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:) declined 4.93% or 0.46 points to end at 8.95 and STMicroelectronics (BIT:) was down 4.59% or 1.32 points to 27.35.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 364 to 123 and 37 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.74% or 2.75 to $70.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 4.36% or 3.38 to hit $74.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 9.30 to trade at $2,518.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.75.
