Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the fell 1.63%.
The best performers of the session on the were Tenaris SA (BIT:), which rose 6.76% or 1.05 points to trade at 16.51 at the close. Meanwhile, DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) added 5.57% or 5.65 points to end at 107.10 and Leonardo SpA (BIT:) was up 3.46% or 0.78 points to 23.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UniCredit SpA (BIT:), which fell 5.31% or 2.28 points to trade at 40.56 at the close. Inwit (BIT:) declined 5.25% or 0.54 points to end at 9.65 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:) was down 4.78% or 0.30 points to 5.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 300 to 268 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in DiaSorin SpA (BIT:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.57% or 5.65 to 107.10. Shares in Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:) fell to 3-years lows; losing 4.78% or 0.30 to 5.98.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.05 to $71.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.34% or 0.26 to hit $75.27 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.68% or 73.60 to trade at $2,676.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.80% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.65% at 105.03.
