Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as in the sectors led shares .

The best performers of the session on the were A2A SpA (BIT:), which rose 3.20% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (BIT:) added 1.27% or 0.65 points to end at 51.75 and Stellantis NV (BIT:) was up 0.90% or 0.17 points to 18.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (BIT:), which fell 2.31% or 0.54 points to trade at 22.81 at the close. Iveco Group NV (BIT:) declined 1.96% or 0.22 points to end at 11.27 and Brunello Cucinelli (BIT:) was down 1.74% or 1.55 points to 87.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 268 to 219 and 55 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.99% or 1.59 to $81.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.52% or 1.27 to hit $85.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 1.25 to trade at $2,466.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.54.
