Meanwhile, DeNA Co Ltd (TYO:) added 2.92% or 51.50 points to end at 1,814.50 and Dentsu Inc. (TYO:) was up 2.79% or 129.00 points to 4,748.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. (TYO:), which fell 3.14% or 20.80 points to trade at 642.20 at the close. Mercari Inc (TYO:) declined 2.55% or 62.50 points to end at 2,389.50 and Kansai Electric Power Co Inc (TYO:) was down 2.34% or 62.50 points to 2,608.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 1953 to 1554 and 329 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.74% or 0.52 to $71.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.63% or 0.47 to hit $74.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 13.90 to trade at $2,721.40 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was down 0.17% to 149.95, while EUR/JPY fell 0.01% to 162.66.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 103.43.
