(TYO:) added 14.83% or 1,000.00 points to end at 7,742.00 and Taisei Corp. (TYO:) was up 7.77% or 434.00 points to 6,021.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nexon Co Ltd (TYO:), which fell 15.47% or 489.00 points to trade at 2,672.00 at the close. Shiseido Co., Ltd. (TYO:) declined 12.07% or 460.00 points to end at 3,350.00 and SUMCO Corp. (TYO:) was down 7.32% or 123.50 points to 1,563.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2616 to 1126 and 142 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.01% or 0.01 to $76.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $79.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 6.10 to trade at $2,457.20 a troy ounce.
USD/JPY was down 0.12% to 147.10, while EUR/JPY unchanged 0.00% to 160.72.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 102.96.
