Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the were Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 3.61% or 2.19 points to trade at 62.83 at the close. Meanwhile, Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (BMV:) added 1.98% or 3.85 points to end at 198.05 and Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 1.76% or 2.67 points to 154.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 3.83% or 1.04 points to trade at 26.08 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:) declined 3.55% or 20.44 points to end at 556.00 and Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:) was down 2.60% or 0.26 points to 9.74.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 120 to 106 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.60% or 13.95 to $2,330.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.23% or 1.00 to hit $80.63 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.33% or 1.13 to trade at $84.02 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.07% to 18.13, while EUR/MXN rose 0.76% to 19.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 105.30.
