Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the gained 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the were GCC SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 4.58% or 7.05 points to trade at 161.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (BMV:) added 4.25% or 1.22 points to end at 29.89 and Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 3.53% or 6.07 points to 177.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:), which fell 1.65% or 2.27 points to trade at 135.35 at the close. Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:) declined 1.44% or 2.43 points to end at 165.80 and Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:) was down 1.20% or 1.99 points to 163.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 128 to 85 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.43% or 34.90 to $2,467.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.14% or 0.86 to hit $76.09 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $78.97 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 18.88, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.01% to 20.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 103.01.
