Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 0.40% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:), which rose 3.74% or 0.65 points to trade at 18.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) added 3.42% or 0.52 points to end at 15.72 and Regional SAB de CV (BMV:) was up 2.43% or 3.07 points to 129.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:), which fell 3.08% or 1.37 points to trade at 43.10 at the close. Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:) declined 2.10% or 3.34 points to end at 155.71 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:) was down 1.77% or 5.15 points to 286.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 124 to 113 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.74% or 0.65 to 18.02.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.26% or 7.06 to $2,755.76 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.87% or 1.45 to hit $75.94 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.89% or 0.71 to trade at $79.44 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.84% to 20.65, while EUR/MXN rose 0.96% to 21.53.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.30% at 107.78.
