Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the were Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV:), which rose 2.76% or 0.90 points to trade at 33.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Banorte (BMV:) added 2.21% or 2.96 points to end at 137.31 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) was up 1.88% or 1.90 points to 103.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 3.87% or 0.88 points to trade at 21.85 at the close. Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:) declined 2.75% or 1.23 points to end at 43.47 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:) was down 2.57% or 6.53 points to 245.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 164 to 83 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.87% or 0.88 to 21.85.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 8.10 to $2,423.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 3.10% or 2.27 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $78.51 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.09% to 19.28, while EUR/MXN rose 0.05% to 21.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 102.97.
