Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:), which rose 8.58% or 0.70 points to trade at 8.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemex SAB de CV (BMV:) added 3.27% or 0.39 points to end at 12.33 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) was up 3.08% or 0.64 points to 21.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Regional SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 2.49% or 3.07 points to trade at 120.01 at the close. Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:) declined 2.16% or 0.28 points to end at 12.66 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:) was down 1.38% or 0.66 points to 47.16.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 143 to 75 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (BMV:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.08% or 0.64 to 21.45.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.50% or 13.10 to $2,611.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.77% or 1.24 to hit $71.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $74.89 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 19.32, while EUR/MXN fell 0.04% to 21.56.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 100.36.
