Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the rose 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), which rose 5.08% or 5.14 points to trade at 106.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma SAB de CV (BMV:) added 4.96% or 16.11 points to end at 340.75 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (BMV:) was up 4.39% or 1.90 points to 45.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GCC SAB de CV (BMV:), which fell 1.42% or 2.41 points to trade at 167.02 at the close. Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV:) declined 1.23% or 0.38 points to end at 30.64 and Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:) was down 0.93% or 0.21 points to 22.39.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 103 to 100 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kimberly – Clark De Mexico A (BMV:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.23% or 0.38 to 30.64.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.32% or 30.80 to $2,364.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.06% or 0.88 to hit $83.69 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.86 to trade at $87.10 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.34% to 18.19, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.01% to 19.62.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 105.03.
